Frequently Asked Questions
Are you the animal shelter?
No. The animal shelter is a county-owned and operated entity. We are an organization of community volunteers who help support the shelter and the animals under its care.
Do you help non-shelter animals?
Yes, we have a donation-based food pantry and a Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release (TNVR) program for stray cats in the community. For more information about these programs, please info@pawsitivechange4gibson.org.
Do you accept volunteers?
We have volunteer opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Please see our Get Involved page for more details.
What are the requirements for fostering?
All pets in the home must be current on their vaccinations. There are some requirements for spaying and neutering depending on the animal being fostered. For more information about the foster application process, email us at info@pawsitivechange4gibson.org.
What are the requirements for Adopting?
The animal shelter has the final say on adoption, but we are able to assist with the adoption process. If you would like assistance with adopting a pet, you can email us at info@pawsitivechange4gibson.org.
